Fernandes bagged a brace and picked up an assist. Two minutes after finding the bottom corner for Portugal’s opener, Fernandes threaded a pass to Ronaldo to double the advantage before half-time.
Joao Cancelo added a late third before Fernandes closed the curtains with a bullet strike that the Israeli keeper had no chance of stopping.
Portugal start their Euro defence against Hungary on Tuesday in Group F, which is being called the Group of Death as it features themselves, the defending European champions, the current world champions France and mighty Germany as well.
