Chelsea vs Burnley
Prediction
Chelsea vs Burnley – Chelsea to win it 3-1, as much as I want Burnley to win this, Chelsea are just too strong and should brush aside their weaker opponents with ease.
Chelsea

Look out!!! The beast is here
Chelsea starts the week 7 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City. On paper this doesn’t look like much of a match, Chelsea’s recent run of results have been good with their lone premier league defeat this calendar year coming against Tottenham at New year’s Day. Since then they have won 4 and drawn one for their 5 games.
To be honest Chelsea doesn’t look as invincible as they were at the start of the season. Ever since they thrashed Swansea City 5- 0 away they have been dodgy at best. They crashed out of the FA Cup 4th round versus Bradford City and narrowly beat strugglers Aston Villa. In their last home game versus Everton it took an 89th minute screamer from Willian to secure the three points.
As Champions do Chelsea has managed to get results even when they are not playing at their best. Chelsea’s home record so far has been scary picking put 34 points from a possible 36. Chelsea comes into this match on the back of a 1-1 draw away at PSG in the Champions League. Chelsea has kept 16 clean sheets in their last 20 home league games.
Diego Costa returns to Premier league action after serving out his three match domestic ban for stamping on Emre Can in the league Cup. Oscar, Peter Cech and Juan Cuadrado could all return to the starting line-up.
Burnley

Burnley’s one bright spot this season – Danny Ings
Burnley has won hearts but has failed to win points in the process. Burnley gives it their all in almost every single game but the results haven’t gone the way of Sean Dyche’s men.
They have just managed only 5 points in their last 6 games and find themselves 19th on the table – a point away from safety.
They did play well against Manchester United last week but ended up losing 3-1. A result at Stamford looks a daunting task for the Clarets but if they give it their all and if luck favours them then anything is possible in Premier League.
Burnley hasn’t won a single league game away to Chelsea since 1971. Clarets did beat Chelsea in the League Cup in 2008 after beating their much stronger opponents on penalties. Danny Ings has been in top form for Burnley scoring five in his last 6 league games.
Past Meeting
The last time these two teams met this season Chelsea bet the Clarets 3-1 in with goals from Costa, Schurrle and Ivanovic. The lone goal for Burnley was scored by Arfield.
Where are they in the table?
1st – Chelsea – 25 games – 59 points
19th – Burnley – 25 games – 21 points
