Paris Saint-Germain’s hopes of retaining the Ligue 1 title were dealt a massive blow as they were held to a draw by Rennes.
Neymar had put PSG ahead just before half-time in the 6th minute of stoppage time of the first half when he converted from the spot after VAR awarded a penalty for a foul on Layvin Kurzawa.
However, Serhou Guirassy headed home the equaliser in the 70th minute for the home side. Matters went from bad to worse for the defending champions as Presnel Kimpembe was sent off for Paris.
The draw leaves PSG three points behind leaders Lille with just two games remaining in the season.
The result adds to an already disappointing week for Mauricio Pochettino’s side as they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League semifinal by Manchester City last Tuesday.
