Swansea v Chelsea – Prediction
On paper it doesn’t look like much of a game. The Swans have failed to impress in their three games so far, the club are desperately missing the likes of Ayew and Ashley Williams both of whom they’ve sold this season. Chelsea on the other hand have gotten better with each passing game. The club have brought in additional reinforcements during deadline day and should remain a title contender through out this season. Conte as a manager has never lost a game against Guidolin and Sunday could see Conte extending his streak.
Verdict: (3-1) Chelsea Win

Swansea City
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Swansea. After edging out Burnley 1-0 in their opening game of the season, the Swans have gone onto lose the next two games in the league. Goals have been hard to come by for the club who boasts a meagre return of just two goals in three games. Fernando Llorente is yet to open his account and the club will be hoping either he or Borja Baston will be able to put an end to their goal scoring troubles against Chelsea.
Both of Swansea’s goals this season have come in the 81st and 82nd minute and has been scored by Leroy Fer. Swansea has won just one and lost 6 of their last 10 meetings with Chelsea. The Swans are yet to lose three consecutive games under Francesco Guidolin. The club did win the subsequent fixture last season but have never won two consecutive games against Chelsea.
10 – Wayne Routledge has created the most of chances than any other player this season
The Swans have a fully fit squad to choose from on Sunday. Borja Baston is expected to make his debut while Neil Taylor who hasn’t featured this season should make his comeback on Sunday.
Chelsea
The Blues have gotten off to a perfect start to the season. After relying on late strikes to get the better of West Ham and Watford in their opening two games, the club went into the international break after thumping Burnley 3-0 at home. The clean sheet against the Clarets was their first in 13 home games and Conte extends his run to 30 games undefeated at home.
The Italian manager who is renowned for this 3 men defensive formations, has preferred to use either the 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-4 formations with Chelsea so far. Deadline day saw the club further bolstering their defensive strength by signing Marcus Alonso and David Luiz. The 29 year old Brazilian who had left the club in 2014 [2] has rejoined them two years later for nearly half the price.
21 – No other Premier League club has scored more goals against Swansea than Chelsea
A win on Sunday will help Conte join an elite list of Chelsea managers who’ve won their opening four games with the club. The Blues have gone onto win the Premier League title each of the four times they’ve won the opening four games. The duo of Hazard and Costa both of whom pretty much struggled last season has found form under Conte.
The game against Swansea might have come too early for David Luiz and Marcos Alonso. The only other injury absentee in Chelsea ranks is Kurt Zouma who is yet to recover from his knee injury.
Past Meeting – Swansea v Chelsea
The last time these two teams met at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea emerged as the 1-0 winners thanks to a Gylfi Sigurdsson volley. The victory for the Swans was their 1st ever Premier League win against Chelsea.
