They were the better team but couldn’t get past a resilient Everton team. Last season Liverpool were scoring for fun winning matches 4-3, 5-3, 5-1 etc… But after the departure of a certain Luis Suarez the team has found it difficult to find the back of the net continuously. Liverpool is unbeaten in 8 heading into Tuesday’s clash versus a fellow top 4 contender Tottenham. Liverpool has been in impressive form versus the North London Club having a score line of 12-0 against them in the last three matches combined. If Liverpool were to win this match vs Spurs it will be their 5th consecutive win against them. Liverpool is the only team in the Premier League who are unbeaten in the league this calendar year. Liverpool’s defense was much criticized at the first few weeks of this season as they were leaking goals but they have improved and have kept consecutive clean sheets in their last four league matches.
