West Ham vs Chelsea – Match Prediction
1-1 Draw and Over 2.5, This is the toughest game to predict this week. On paper Chelsea should ease past the Hammers with plenty to spare but they come into this match on the back of a Cup win and you can understand if the players are still in party mood.
It seems that the whole of West Ham wants to see the back of Sam Allardyce and he is feeling the pressure. They started the season so well but have fallen away in the last two months. They have recorded just win since Christmas, but to be honest haven’t played that badly.
West Ham
For the Hammers hopes of Europe next season are slowly but surely fading. They come into this match on the back of a 3-1 defeat versus Crystal Palace on Sunday, a game where they had 66% of the possession.
The Hammers have won just one of their 10 premier league games since Christmas (Loss-4 and Draws- 5) and have found themselves slip down from 4th to 9th in the table.
They face Chelsea with the hopes of returning to their early season form but the fact is that they have won just one of their last 17 meetings against the Blues, losing 13 of them.
New Hammers signing Nene will be in contention for his first start for the club after the 33 yr old appeared as a substitute in the game versus Crystal Palace.
Morgan Amalfitano still remains suspended while Carlton Cole is still a major doubt after struggling to recover from his hamstring injury.

Manchester City vs Leicester City
Chelsea
Chelsea haven’t been in the greatest form of late and have only looked a shadow of their early season form but they head into this match as League Cup Champions after winning the trophy on Sunday.
Manchester City’s defeat on Sunday against Liverpool means that Chelsea now have a 5 point advantage over City with a game in hand. It’s basically Chelsea’s title to lose now but then again they can’t be complacent because weirder things have happened.
The League Cup victory against Spurs was also Chelsea’s first trophy during Mourinho’s second spell with them. Incidentally the League Cup was the first trophy that Chelsea won during Mourinho’s first spell with them.
Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four matches against West Ham. Mourinho’s Chelsea has never lost a game against the Hammers winning 6 and drawing one.
Chelsea may rest a few of their regulars after their League Cup success on Sunday. Nemanja Matic remains sidelined as he serves his two match ban while John Obi Mikel will probably miss the clash with a knee injury.
Past Meeting
Last time these two teams met this season Chelsea won the game 2-0 with goals from John Terry and Diego Costa. The same duo that scored during Chelsea’s two 2-0 win against Spurs on Sunday.
Where they are in the table
9th – West Ham – 27 games – 39 points – (+6)GD
