Tunisia have announced their 28-man squad for the international friendlies ahead of the 2022 African FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Manchester United academy product, Hannibal Mejbri has been called up by the Eagles of Carthage alongside Arsenal youngster Omar Rekik.

Tunisia are ready to face DR Congo, Algeria and Mali on 5th June, 11th June and 15th June, respectively in international friendly matches.

Mejbri, who was named Manchester United’s U23 Player of the Year for the 2020/21 season, was born in France but to Tunisian parents.

Having played for the French under-16 and under-17 national teams, Mejbri was expected to opt for France but has chosen to play for Tunisia instead.

Rekik, on the other hand, signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in January 2021 having joined the Premier League giants from German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in the same month.
