Tottenham vs Leicester City – Prediction
Spurs to win 2-1, Spurs have been good against teams in the bottom half of the table. It’s their inability to perform against the top teams that sees them looking up at the Champions League spots. They’re virtually out of contention and would need one or two of the teams above them to have a real bad run of form to catch up.
Leicester’s Premier League campaign is virtually over. The 7 point gap between them and Sunderland might be the too much for the Foxes to make up. Leicester have already beaten Spurs once this season at White Hart Lane but will need to display something special to get something out of this game.
Betting Tips
- The odds for a Spurs win is at 1.6, for a draw 4.2 and for a Leicester Win the odds are at 6.25.
- Spurs should win and we expect them to score in both halves. However keeping a clean sheet might be a hard task considering the fact that they’ve kept only one clean sheet this calender year.
- We expect goals in this match so betting Over 2.5 at the odds of about 2.2 is a good bet.
- This i’ll be good match to include in a parlay bet.

Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs come into this game on the back of 3-0 defeat against fellow top four contenders Manchester United last week. The loss has hugely dented their hopes of Champions league football next season.
It’s brings to fray Spurs’ inability to get results against the top clubs in the division. In the nine games so far against the top 5 clubs in the division they’ve managed to pick up only 8 points from a possible 27 (2 W, 2 D , 5 L).
Spurs has a real fight in hand not for finishing among the top 4 but to finish 6th. They are currently level on points Southampton in 6th but the Saints have a better Goal Difference.
Their isn’t any doubt on who Spurs’ player of the season is Harry Kane has between stunning for them with 26 goals in all competitions thus far this season and his impressive run of form has earned him a place in England’s squad for the Euro Cup qualifiers.
The spurs have a miserable record against the Foxes at home winning just two of their last 8 cup and league games against them.
Spurs had already suffered defeat at the hands of the foxes this season losing to them 2-1 in their FA Cup 4th round tie at White Hart Lane. Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 9 games in all competitions.
Pochettino has almost a fully fit squad to choose from with the only absentee being the Spanish striker Roberto Soldado. Ryan Mason is available for them again after suffering a dead leg in their 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.

Leicester City
Leicester has improved in recent weeks but don’t have the points to show for their efforts. They have as much a chance of staying up as Tottenham have of securing Champions League qualification.
They are dead last in the table and have been there since November. They do have a game in hand compared to the teams above them but 7 points difference to make up maybe just a bit out of their reach.
I still wouldn’t write off Leicester not just yet but they need to get something out of this game against Tottenham. They do have a good record away to Spurs and have already beaten them this season in the FA Cup.
Leicester have won only one game this calendar year and have picked up only 6 points from a possible 27 during that time. Along with Sunderland they’ve won the least amount of games this season (4)
Leicester do not have any new injury concerns heading into the game on Saturday but will still be missing the duo of Dean Hammond and Anthony Knockaert.

The last time these two teams was in the 4th round of the FA Cup were Leicester came from behind to win the tie 2-1 with goals Leonardo Ulloa in the 82nd and Jeff Schulpp in the 90th minute. Spurs’ lone goal was scored by Townsend in the first half.
In the reverse fixture between these two teams this season Tottenham won the game 2-1. Harry Kane gave Spurs the lead in the 1st minute but Leicester equalized through Leonardo Ulloa in the 48th minute. Spurs’ winner was scored by Christian Eriksen in the 71st minute.
