Leicester-vs-Hull

Leicester got a rare Premier League win last time these two teams met this season (dailymail)

Leicester vs Hull – Prediction

Leicester to win 2-1, Like many games this week this one is also a incredibly close to call. Both these teams desperately need the win and both have been performing better off late. Hull though have points of show for their efforts an will certainly start as the favorites.

The safe bet would be to go for a draw, but we have his quite nagging feeling that Leicester might squeeze a win here. Better to go for Over/Under bets this week.

 Leicester City

Leicester have 11 games left to fight for Premier league safety let’s see who they have in their remaining games :-

Hull City (H), Spurs (A), West Ham (H), West Brom (A), Swansea City (H), Burnley FC (A), Chelsea (H), Newcastle United (H), Southampton (H), Sunderland (A), QPR (H)

Matches at home: – 7                   Matches against the top 10: – 5

So there are 6 potentially winnable games for the foxes but winning isn’t going to be easy. It’s almost a certainty that if Leicester have not been been mathematically relegated by gameweek 36 then the last two games against Sunderland and QPR will decide the fates of all three teams involved.

35 points might be enough for survival for this season and Leicester are still 17 points off that target. If they don’t win against Hull this week it all but ensures their relegation from their Premier League.

In their last game against defending champions Manchester City they ended losing 2-0 a game but did turn-in a good performance. At this stage of the season good performances don’t count for much and it’s all about the points.

Leicester have won only one of their last 8 games at the King Power Stadium. Their home record is the worst in the league having taken only 10 points from a possible 36 till now.

Leicester City have good news heading into the match with Kasper Schmeichel set to return after recovering from his broken metatarsal injury. However the foxes will be missing Anthony Knockaert who has taken a family day and Dean Hammond who is suffering from a calf injury.

Hull City

Dame-N-Doye

Hull City’s man in form having played a part in four of his teams last five goals (BBC)

Hull seem to have gotten their mojo back, they did get held to a draw in their last game versus Sunderland but have been in pretty good form otherwise losing just one and winning two of their last five games.

These recent run of results have helped The Tigers move 5 points clear of the relegation spots.  This game however will be crucial for Hull who still has six of the current top 7 left to play this season.

They are certainly not out of the relegation battle by any means and need atleast 8 more points to feel safe. Their away record this season has been dreadful winning just two away games all season.

For a team that was struggling to find goals in January they have started finding their goal scoring form largely thanks to Dame N’Doye who has been a part of four of his sides last five goals (3 goals and one assist)

Hull however will still miss their trio of Mo Diame, Liam Rosenior and James Chester but can take respite in the fact that all three are getting closer for their returns.

Past Meeting

The last time these two teams met this season Leicester got a rare win with Riyad Mahrez scoring the lone goal of the game for Leicester. It was also a game that saw two red cards with Stephen Quinn of Hull and Paul Konchesky of Leicester being the culprits.

Where they are in the table

20th – Leicester City – 27 games – 18 points – (-20 GD)

15th – Hull City – 28 games – 27 points – (-11 GD)
