Danilo presentation day with Real Madrid

It has been a month since the end of the 2014/15 campaign and Real Madrid who ended the season trophy-less are looking for answers under new manager Rafa Benitez.

Plenty of names are being linked with a move to the Galaticos including David de Gea, Arturo Vidal and Fernando Llorente to name a few but their one and only addition so far this summer has been the Brazilian Right-Back Danilo Luiz da Silva.

The 23yr old Brazilian who had impressed during his three seasons with Porto was was snatched by Real for 31.5€ million on a 6 year contract running upto 2021 [1].

The Brazilian was unveiled to the gathering of around 600 odd Real fans at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday and the young Brazilian looked genuinely happy during the occasion.

After being paraded in front of the Real supporters who by the way were chanting “De Gea, De Gea, De Gea” Danilo was asked by the gathering media to show off some of his skills. Danilo picked up the ball and attempted to so some kick-ups but 5 keepy-ups were all he could manage [2]. Watch Danilo´s presentation day video below and judge his skills:

No need to make fun of the Brazilian though as it was probably the nerves that got to him. Danilo was pretty calm later on in the press conference and had this to say about his dream move –

“Thanks to everyone who did everything to make this day happen,” he said and added “Thanks to the fans for their messages and their love.”

“This is a childhood dream. It’s certainly one of the best days of my life.”

“I’m going to leave everything on the pitch because I only play to win. Thank you, everyone!” – Danilo Luiz Da Silva
