Inter Milan wing-back and Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi is in high demand as there is an ongoing transfer battle between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

It is understood that the Champions League winners Chelsea have made a bid for Hakimi in the region of 60m euros. They also have their Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso potentially included as part of the deal. However, the Serie A champions would prefer a cash-only transfer.

Inter are attempting to address financial issues created by the coronavirus pandemic. Their Chinese owners, Suning, have been significantly affected. This led to the resignation of manager Antonio Conte.

Romelu Lukaku has already committed his future to Inter, so the sale of Hakimi would be a way of dealing with that.

PSG have also made an inquiry for Hakimi and can price Chelsea out of the deal. Although the Blues are favourites, it is not completely out of question for the French club to outbid them.

The Morocco international joined Inter last season from Real Madrid. He has been one of the top performers in Europe over the last year or so. He had a terrific loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in Germany’s Bundesliga. That saw Inter then pick him up.

Hakimi was a crucial part of the Inter side that won the Serie A Scudetto for the first time since 2010. He made 45 appearances in all competitions under Conte.
