Spurs come into this match on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at home versus Fiorentina in the Europa League. Tottenham has 3 three matches in the next 8 days and you get the feeling that these three games are going to define Spurs’ season.

They have the Premier league game against West Ham up first, a match they must win to keep pace with the other Champions League Contenders. They follow this match with a game away at Fiorentina in the Europa League round of 32, 2nd leg – a match they should win or score one goal to stay alive in the competition.

Finally, they round of their hectic three game run versus Chelsea in the League Final at Wembley on the 1st of March. Their last Premier League game was an entertaining 3-2 defeat at Anfield. In their last 6 games in the league they lost 2 and won 4 with two of those wins coming against Chelsea and North-London rivals Arsenal.

They can’t afford slip-up versus the Hammers as it could leave them well behind the other top 4 contenders. They have the most in-form player in the Premier League to look for inspiration in Harry Kane.

Spurs are unbeaten at home over the last seven matches winning 5 and drawing 2. Another interesting fact related to Spurs is that eight of their last 10 victories had a 2-1 scoreline.

Pochettino can take relief in the fact that he has no injury concerns heading into the game.

West Ham

This may be his last season with West Ham – Sam Allardyce

West Ham come into this match on the back of 4-0 thrashing they suffered at the hands of West Brom in the FA Cup 5th round. They have just managed to win one of their six Premier League games this calendar year.

Their recent miserable run of form saw them slip-up from the top of the table and now find themselves sitting at 8th in the table 9 points behind United who at 4th. There are problems arising at West Ham and this may well be the last year Sam Allardyce will be with them. On the pitch their problem has been scoring, they have just scored one goal in the last four cup and league matches.

West Ham won the same fixture last year 3-0 and will be looking for something similar here. Hammers will be looking for their second league victory this year. They will face Chelsea and Arsenal in two of the three fixtures after this so win here is crucial.

Big Sam will be boosted by the return of Winston Reid, Matt Jarvis and James Collins from injuries but Andy Carroll will be out for the rest of the season with a Knee injury.

Past Meeting

Last time these two teams met this season spurs won the game courtesy of second-half injury time winner from Eric Dier. Both the teams had one man send-off during the game.

Where they are in the table?
