Swansea-City-vs-EvertonSwansea vs Everton – Prediction

2-1 Everton, Two teams seemingly stuck in mid-table with no hopes of fighting for any of the European spots or having to face the heat of the relegation battle. Yet for one of these teams it’s been a season they can rejoice about while for the other it’s a season they want to quickly put behind them and move on.

Both Swansea and Everton come into this game on the back of consecutive wins and this promises to an entertainer with lots of goals in it.

Betting Tips

  •  The odds for a Swansea win is at 2.5, Everton win is at 3.1 and for a Draw is at 3.3. The match should have goals in it but the game can go either way so it’s better to stay away from the winners market for this game.
  • Over 2.5 which is at an odd of about 2.1 is a bet you might want to place your money on as the meetings between these two teams almost always produces goals.
  • Another great bet is for both teams to score at an odd of 1.9

Swansea come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win over Hull City last week. The Swans have won their last two Premier League games in a row and now find themselves 8th in the table 7 points behind Southampton in 7th.

7th may be enough to get you into Europe next season and on current form Swans have every chance of catching up to the Saints with 7 games left in the season. The Swans need just one more point to equal their best ever Premier League points tally of 47.

It’s been a great season for Garry Monk and his team with most of the pundits picking them as relegation candidates at the start of the season. The Swans haven’t won three Premier League games in a row since August but have won 4 of their last six games in the league.

The Swans registered their first ever win over Everton when they met in the League Cup 3rd round clash in September. A win on Saturday will also mean that Swansea would register their highest number of wins in a single Premier League season surpassing last seasons’ tally of 13.

Swans will miss the services of defender Kyle Naughton for the rest of the season after the former England under 21 got injured in the game versus the Tiger.

Jack Cork should be fit to start against Everton but questions still remain over the fitness of Jefferson Montero.

Everton come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win over Southampton last week. They’ve now won their last three games in the Premier League and looks to have found their form from last season when they finished 5th in the season.

They were in Europe longer than any other English club this season but it was had an effect on their poor league form. Roberto Martinez will look for better next season but before that will look to finish this season strongly and if possible finish in the top half of the table.

If Everton do finish outside the Top 10 this season it will be first time they do so since the 2005/06 season. They’ve won 4 of their last 6 games in all competitions and have never lost a league game against Swansea (13 wins, 6 Draws).

The fitness of striker Romelu Lukaku still remains a question mark after the striker returned to training after missing their 1-0 win against Southampton.

The Toffees will certainly miss the services of Darron Gibson who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a hairline metatarsal fracture.

Past Meeting

The last time these two teams met in the league this season the game ended in a 0-0 draw with Jonjo Shelvey getting send off for the Swans after picking up two yellow cards.

Both these teams also met in the League Cup 3rd round this season and Swansea won the game 3-0 with goals from Dyer, Sigurdsson and Emnes. Swansea however got eliminated in the next round by Liverpool.

Where they are in the table

8th – Swansea City – 31 games – 46 points – (-2 GD)

12th – Everton – 31 games – 37 points – ( -3 GD)
