Stoke-City-vs-Crystal-Palace Stoke vs Crystal Palace – Prediction

1-1 Draw, Last week’s defeat to West Brom has virtually ended Stoke’s chances of acquiring European football for next season but it’s still a remarkable season from the Potters point of view and they may well end up with their highest points tally in Premier League history come the end of the season

Crystal Palace are constantly improving under Alan Pardew who has done wonders since taking over as manager. Palace are not completely out of the relegation battle but with the way they are playing at the moment they should guarantee safety within the next few weeks.

It should be a great game between two clubs with some of the most passionate supporters.

Betting Tips

  • It should be relatively close match and a low scoring one at that. The odds on offer for Under 2.5 is at around 1.6 so it’s better to stay away from Betting Under
  • However we see both the teams scoring here and odds on offer for both the teams to score are 2 so it’s something you might want to consider placing a bet on.
  • The odds for a Stoke win are at around (2.2), for a draw (3.3) and for a Palace win is (3.6).

Stoke City

Jonathan-Walters

Jonathan Walters has been Stoke’s leading scorer this season in all competitions with 10 goals (telegraph)

Potters come into this game on the back of 1-0 defeat against West Brom last Saturday. It brought to an end their 3 game run winning streak in the league and virtually rule them out of contention for a Europa league spot next season.

They are currently 8th in the table 8 points behind Southampton in 7th. The progress they’ve made under Mark Hughes over the last two seasons has been really remarkable. Potters are looking set to break their best ever Premier League points tally of 50 which they set last season which was Hughes’s first season with them.

Stoke have been a real force to reckon with at home winning 5 of their last 8 games with two losses during that time coming against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Stoke have a ever-growing injury list and the latest addition to it is John Walters who is out after suffering a fractured cheekbone last week. The likes of Erik Pieters, Victor Moses and Philip Wollscheid are doubtful to feature in Saturday’s game versus Palace.

Crystal Palace

Dwight-Gayle

Dwight Gayle has been Palace’s leading scorer in all competitions this season with 10 goals (Skysports)

Palace come into this game on the back of 3-1 win against QPR last week. They are currently 12th in table and 8 points clear of the relegation zone.

Last season they managed to save themselves from relegation for the time in Premier League history and had 45 points at the end of season they currently have 33 points till now and a strong finish to the season can see them bettering last season’s points tally.

Since Pardew took over Palace have won 5, drawn one and lost three games. If Palace were to lose on Saturday it will be Pardew’s 100th Premier League defeat as a manager.

Similar to Stoke Palace have increasingly growing injury list with Marouane Chamakh, Frazier Campbell and Chung-Yong Lee all missing out through injuries.

Palace Captain Mile Jedinak remains sidelined through suspension while the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Jason Puncheon and Jordon Mutch are all doubtful to feature on Saturday.

Past Meeting

The last time these two teams met this season the match ended in a 1-1 draw with McArthur scoring the opener for Palace in the 11th and Peter Crouch equalizing for the Potters within two minutes.

Where they are in the table
