QPR vs Arsenal – Match Prediction

Arsenal to win 3-1, although you can go with point spread QPR +1  Arsenal have been in impressive form in the league off-late winning 6 out of their last 7 matches. Last Sunday on the back of a embarrassing 3-1 defeat against Monaco in the Champions League they eased past Everton with a 2-0 win.Arsenal should do the same here against a QPR team that can’t buy a win at the moment.

Midfielder Sandro is fit again after recovering from a knee injury (BBC)

QPR should be well rested heading into this match after their match on Sunday was postponed because their opponents Spurs had league Cup commitments.

Rangers’ last league game saw them lose to fellow relegation candidates Hull City 2-1 away. They have lost five of their last six matches with the one win coming against Sunderland.

They are currently 18th in the table but has two games in hand compared to Aston Villa in 17th. A win here as unlikely as it is will move them out of the relegation spots.

QPR will be boosted by the news that midfielder Sandro who has been out since November should be fit again after recovering from an knee injury. They will be further boosted by the news that Nedum Onuoha and Mauricio Isla are also nearing return to action.

Arsenal head in to this match after a 2-0 victory versus Everton on Sunday. Arsenal does have the habit of under-performing in odd matches but this one looks there’s for the taking. Arsenal are still very much in the forefront of the top 4 battle and are currently 3rd in the table three points away from Liverpool in 5th.

Arsenal have been in impressive form off late winning 6 out of their last seven premier league games, they are also still alive in the FA Cup and will take on Manchester United in the quarters of the tournament.

Arsenal have won all their last three matches versus QPR in the league. A win here would make it four consecutive wins in the league and also would be their first back to back away win this season.

Aaron Ramsey is fit again for Arsenal after recovering from his hamstring injury which sidelined him for three weeks. However several big names are still missing for Arsenal including Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Flamini , Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby.

Past Meeting

These two teams last met this season on boxing day and Arsenal got the win 2-1 with Sanchez and Rosicky scoring for the Gunners while the lone goal for QPR was scored by Charlie Austin.
