The Champions Chelsea New Players

Chelsea 2015-2 new players

The defeating champions Chelsea will look to hold onto their thrones with some new additions. The addition of Radamel Falcao seems to the first step (getsurrey.co.uk)

Heading into the 2015/16 Premier League season Chelsea do look as the front-runners to win the title for a second time in a row.

The Blues already have a squad filled with players of immense quality who have been together for a number of years but Mourinho ain’t gonna settle for it and has already let his intentions known by further adding to their formidable strike force by signing Colombian international Radamel Falcao on loan.

Falcao as we all know didn’t have a great time during his first stint in the Premier League with Manchester United last season but if anyone can bring the best out of Falcao then it is Jose Mourinho.

It is reported that Falcao has taken a significant pay cut to join the blues and his salary is somewhere around 140,000£ per week.

This is what Radamel Falcao is capable of:

Chelsea do have the option of permanently signing Falcao for 35£ million at the end of the season. Falcao coming to Chelsea sees him reunited with his former Atletico Madrid striker partner Diego Costa, the pair famously played together during Atletico’s 2013 Copa del Rey triumph over Real Madrid.

19 year old Brazilian Nathan Allan de Souza was Chelsea’s first signing this transfer window and he was bought from Atlético Paranaense for 6.2€ million.

The Hopefuls Transfers

Citizens Transfer Talk

Paul-Pogba-and-Raheem-Sterling for Manchester City

If Manchester City are to sign the duo of Paul Pogba and Raheem Sterling they would have to pay somewhere in the range of 110£ million but with transfer restrictions restricted nothing is holding them back from doing so (express.co.uk)

Last season’s runners-up Manchester City are one among the few Premier League teams yet to make new addition to their squad this season but if the rumors are to be believed then the young Liverpool wonder-kid Raheem Sterling who has been pushing for a move away from the Merseyside club is set to be City’s first addition this transfer window. City will have to pay somewhere in the north of 45£ million if the deal is to go through.

Another name that has been linked with City a lot over the last month has been Juventus star Paul Pogba. City are reportedly willing to pay Juventus around 70£ million to secure the French international’s signing but may well have to battle Barcelona for it. If the Pogba transfer doesn’t work out then are rumored to move for Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik.

Red Devils Transfers

Memphis-Depay transfer to Manchester United

The Dutch International was lethal for PSV in the Eredivisie last season scoring 25 goals and registering 5 assists (provenquality.com)

Manchester United being Manchester United have been linked with almost anyone that can kick a ball around but Memphis Depay remains their only summer signing thus far whom they bought from PSV for a fee of 34€ million.

Memphis Depay no doubt looks to be a fantastic signing for United. The Dutch winger was fantastic for PSV last season scoring 28 goals for them in all competitions.

Players coming in from the Eredivisie usually have a hard time settling into the Premier League but Depay who has already been hailed by Ryan Giggs as “superstar material” looks to be someone that can help United in challenging Chelsea and more importantly stay in the top 4 next season.

Sergio Ramos has been someone that has been heavily linked with Manchester United for the past month but it is reported that if this deal is too happen then David De Gea who was United’s best player by a mile last season would have to go the other way.

*More recently it is said Manchester United will sign Thomas Muller, the german captain from Bayern Munich.

Gooners Tranfers

Though Arsenal have made only a single signing till now it has been by far the most conversational signing up till now. Petr Cech who has been a loyal Chelsea servant for the past 11 years finally decided to call time on his Chelsea career after being frustrated at playing the second fiddle to Thibaut Courtouis last season. Cech has joined fellow title contenders Arsenal in a deal which has been said to be worth 14€ million.
