Premier League Betting Tips 2015 2016

People might say Premier League is not the best league in the world and we can’t argue to that point seeing how the Spanish and German teams have dominated the European competitions over the last few seasons.

However not many will argue about the Premier League being the most entertaining league in the world. The fight for survival is almost always hotly contested and that is the case for the Top 4 and the title race as well.

Chelsea may have been the runaway champions last season but this time around there are three to four teams capable of challenging for the title. Though it’s hard to see Chelsea and Manchester City finishing outside the top 4 I really fear for Arsenal and United as Liverpool really look like a team with a lot to prove this campaign.

This is just a prediction on all Premier League clubs for this season based on how the squads looked, their transfer activities, pre-season games and the opening day fixtures. Feel free to let us know if you disagree with our picks and also let us know about you’re predictions for the season

20. Watford for Relegation in 2016

Waford manager Quique Flores

This will be the former Spanish international Quique Flores’s first coaching stint in UK. (footynews365.com)

A new manager and 10 new signings, Watford has been the most active Premier League team in the transfer window so far. Manager Quique Flores certainly has his work cutout in bringing together a group of players that have virtually no experience playing together.

Back in the big time after 8 long seasons Watford does have a squad capable of avoiding, but even the top teams struggle when a lot of new names come into club ( look at Liverpool last season or Spurs in the 2013/14 season).

If Flores can get the team clicking within the first few weeks then it might be a different story but as of now Watford does look as the team most likely to go down to the championship.

Odds of Watford winning the league: – 5000/1

Odds of Watford finishing in the top four: – 1500/1

Odds of Watford getting relegated: – 11/10

19. Norwich City Predictions

Premier League best players Nathan Redmond

Nathan Redmond played a crucial role for the Canaries in the Promotion bid last season (dailystar.co.uk)

Alex Neil and his Canaries team have a pretty tall order up ahead of them. Norwich has added just four new faces to their squad this summer with Youssouf Mulumbu whom they bought from West Brom being the only stand-out signing. Looking at their current squad it’s difficult to see past their questionable defense and lack of strike power upfront.

Norwich have been blessed with an easy run of games to kick-off their campaign and pick up points from them if they are to push the teams ahead of them and find safety.

Norwich can’t depend on Ricky Van Wolfswinkel who scored just one in his previous Premier League stint with the Canaries to get them all the goals. The Canaries should get atleast another proven striker if they are to mount a challenge to stay in the league.

Odds of Norwich winning the league: 5000/1

Odds of Norwich finishing in the top 4: 1500/1

Odds of Norwich getting relegated: 1/1

18. Leicester City – Scope for Hope

Leicester Premier League Prediction

Robert Huth, Leicester had won 7 and lost just 4 games last season in which Robert Huth appeared in  (express.co.uk)

Last season Leicester pulled off one of the greatest “great escapes” in the Premier League Era. However the man that led the Leicester charge towards the end of last season, manager Nigel Pearson, was mercilessly sacked at the end of the campaign.

New manager Claudio Ranieri who returns to the Premier League after more than a decade, will have to quickly win over the club’s supporters and players.

Leicester has made six new signings so far this summer with Shinji Okazaki being the pick of the signings in our eyes. The departure of Esteban Cambiasso has left a gaping void needing to filled at the center of midfield and their latest signing N’Golo Kante is thought to be the answer.

Leicester have gotten off to the best possible start they could have hoped for by beating Sunderland 4-2. They do have the resources to stay in the league and even secure a mid-table if they play to their potential but for now they remain in the relegation spots.

Odds of Leicester winning the title: – 5000/1

Odds of Leicester finishing in the top four: – 300/1

Odds of Leicester getting relegated: – 9/2

17. Sunderland – Lucky Ones

Jermain-Defoe crystal palace betting tips for the season

Jermain Defoe – The England international had moderately successful return to the Premier League last season going onto score 4 goals in 17 appearances. With Connor Wickham having been sold to Crystal Palace the onus will be on the 32yr old striker and Steven Fletcher to provide the goals (sport.net)

Opening day defeat to Leicester points to the fact that it going to be another long season for the Black Cats. The 2015/16 campaign will be Sunderland’s 9th consecutive season in the Premier League. In all but one of their previous 8 seasons in the league Sunderland have conceded in excess of 50 goals and this is a stat they should improve upon if they are to avoid relegation come May.

Dick Advocaat who had announced his retirement from coaching at the end of last campaign was pressurized by the Sunderland board to stick around with them for one more season.

The Black Cats have added five new names to their squad this summer with Dutch international Jeremaine Lens who they bought from Dynamo Kiev for 11.5€ being the stand-out signing.

Sunderland need to improve and improve quickly, they face Norwich at home on Saturday and it’s a chance for them to redeem themselves to the fans for the horror show against Leicester. As for their chances of survival this season? Honestly it would have been just as easier to put Sunderland in one of the relegation places but they seem to have survived from the cut the last few seasons by sheer luck and maybe the same luck will be with them this season as well.

Odds of Sunderland winning the title: – 5000/1

Odds of Sunderland finishing in the top 4: – 1500/1

Odds of Sunderland getting relegated: – 5/4

16. Bournemouth Season Prediction

Callum-Wilson Bournemouth betting tips

Callum impressed in his first season with the Boscombes scoring 23 goals in all competitions. Having penned a new 4 yr contract with the club at the end of last month the Striker will need to carry over his form from the Championship to help Bournemouth to safety (dailystar.co.uk)

The 2015/16 season will be Bournemouth’s first ever season in the Premier League. Eddie Howe and his men earned the right to be among the elite of English football by winning the 2014/15 Championship title. Bournemouth gave a good account of themselves even in defeat against Aston Villa on opening day.

If they could have been a bit more clinical in their finishing Bournemouth could have walked away with all 3 points on Saturday. They have been one of the more active Premier League teams in the transfer market adding 8 new recurits to their squad this season.

They have kept the core of the team that helped gain promotion last season the same but have also added some players with experience playing in the top level like Sylvain Distin and Artur Boruc.

Bournemouth in many ways resemble Burnley from last season and we all want them to do well, do they have a chance? Yes! they are a unit that has been together and I expect them to exceed expectations this term.

Odds of Bournemouth winning the title:  7500/1

Odds of Bournemouth winning the top 4: 2000/1

Odds of Bournemouth getting relegated:  13/10

15. Aston Villa – Rebuilding

Micah-Richards Aston Villa bvetting tips

Can Micah Richards force his way back to the England set up? Tim Sherwood certainly thinks so and termed the newly appointed Villa captain as possibly being his best signing this summer (avfc.co.uk)

The Villans kicked off the season on a positive note with a hard fought victory away to Bournemouth last Saturday. Aston Villa have lost two of their best players in Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph to Liverpool and Manchester City respectively this summer.

In a bid to fill the void left by the duo, Villa has added as many as 9 new faces to their squad and it was one of those new signings – Rudy Gestede that got them the all important 3 points against the Boscombes.

Aston Villa are a new look team and manager Tim Sherwood must be quick in bringing the team together as a unit, some of his signings including Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Ayew and newly appointed club captain Micah Richards look to be promising.

Villa has a strong enough squad and a good manager to stay clear of the relegation zone. The 17th place finish last season was their lowest ever Premier League finish since the 1994/95 season so Aston Villa can only move up from here.

Odds of Aston Villa winning the title:  5000/1

Odds of Aston Villa finishing among the top 4:  500/1

Odds of Aston Villa getting relegated:  7/2

14. Newcastle United Value Bet Prediction

Georginio-Wijnaldum Betting Tips and Predictions

Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum comes into the Premier League with big reputation from the Eredivisie. The attacking midfielder is Newcastle’s most expensive signing under owner Mike Ashley and has already shown signs that he a player worth more than his price tag (themag.co.uk)

The Magpies narrowly held onto their Premier League status last term after suffering one of their usual mid-season collapses and losing 10 of their final 13 games of the season.

The horrible end to the season resulted in John Carver’s hopes of a permanent appointment as manager getting crushed.

Steven McClaren is the new man in charge of Newcastle and has already made some quality additions to the squad including Georginio Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba. These additions will surely bring quality and creativity to the squad, two traits they were so desperately missing last term.

Newcastle almost got off to the perfect start this season but ultimately had to settle for a point after getting held by Southampton to a 2-2 draw on its first game despite taking a 2-1 lead. Newcastle are my pick to surprise everyone this season and by May should be safely away from the relegation spots sitting somewhere in the mid-table.

Odds of Newcastle United winning the league:  5000/1

Odds of Newcastle United finishing among the top 4:  250/1

Odds of Newcastle getting relegated:  6/1

13. West Brom Lower-Mid Table Prediction

Saido-Berahino albion betting tips

Saido Berahino was one of Baggies best players last season going onto score 20 goals in all competitions for the club. He will have a big part to play for the club this season as well as i.e if he is with the club when the transfer window closes (telegraph.co.uk)

Tony Pulis took over as the Baggies manager in January and helped the team who were destined to get relegated to a respectable mid-table finish beating the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea along the way.

Saido Berahino was player who was destined to leave the club in July but he is still here and has a new strike partner in Rickie Lambert, one of Pulis’s four new signings this summer. The other new faces among the Baggies ranks include James Chester, James McClean and Salomon Rondon.

The Baggies have gotten of the worst possible start to the season getting thumped by Manchester City 3-0 at home. Pulis though was quick to admit that he got his tactics wrong against the “big boys” and went on to reiterate that he won’t be making the same mistake twice.

Pulis is a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players. Expect West Brom to bounce back with a vengeance against Watford this week and come May even though they won’t be pushing for any of the European spots they will be sitting comfortably in lower mid-table.

Odds of West Brom winning the league:  5000/1

Odds of West Brom finishing among the top 4:  500/1

Odds of West Brom getting relegated:  9/2

12. Crystal Palace Stable Prediction

Jason-Puncheon-and-Yannick-Bolasie betting tips

Jason Puncheon and Yannick Bolasie – The thought of these two running at them will give any full-back in the league sleepless nights. Expect more of the same from the duo this season as well (thesun.co.uk)

This will be the Eagles’ third consecutive season in the Premier League and the first full season under Alan Pardew. When Pardew stepped in as manager last season they were in the bottom quarter of the table and under his guidance they went from strength to strength each week eventually securing a 10th place finish.

Crystal Palace have brought in five new faces to their squad so far this summer of which the acquisition of Yohan Cabaye from PSG stands out. Cabaye who had previously played under Pardew at Newcastle United has already made an impact scoring in Palace’s 3-1 opening day win against Norwich City.

Palace had a better record away from home last season with only 4 of their 12 victories coming at Selhurst park.

The target for the Eagles this season would be to achieve another strong mid-table finish and this squad is certainly capable of doing it.

Odds of Palace winning the league: 3000/1

Odds of Palace finishing among the top 4:  66/1

Odds of Palace getting relegated: 14/1

11. Stoke City Premier League Value Bet Prediction

Xherdan-Shaqiri stoke city season betting tips

Come the end of May it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if we see Xherdan Shaqiri being hailed as one of the best summer signings. The 23yr old ex-Bayern Munich player oozes class and may well be joining one of the Premier League big guns in the next summer window (hardtackle.com)

Stoke finished the 2014/15 campaign in 9th place and 54 points which were incidentally their best ever finish and points tally in the Premier League. Demolishing Liverpool 6-1 on the final day of last season shows how much Stoke City has improved under Mark Hughes.

Mark Hughes has already made his intentions clear on what he wants to achieve with Stoke with the signings he has made thus far. The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Ibrahim Afellay, Marco Van Ginkel and Philip Wollscheid along with a returning Bojan are sure to take Stoke to the next level.

Stoke suffered an opening day home defeat to Liverpool a game which could have easily swung their way. It was difficult to place Stoke outside the Top 10 and I wouldn’t be surprised if they break into the top 6. In short – Stoke will be one of the most exiting teams to watch out for this campaign.

Odds of Stoke City winning the league: 3000/1

Odds of Stoke City finishing among the top 4: 150/1

Odds of Stoke City getting relegated: 14/1

10. West Ham – Europe? Maybe not!

Dimitri-Payet club betting tips

Dimitri Payet who had made the Ligue 1 team of the season last term has made a surprising move in joining West Ham. Has been one of West Ham’s best players this season so far (dailymail.co.uk)

The 2015/16 campaign will be West Ham’s 4th consecutive season in the Premier League since being promoted from the Championship in 2011/12. It will be the Hammers’ final season at the historic Boleyn Ground (home since 1904) as they will be starting the next season at the Olympic Stadium.

It will be fair to say that West Ham are in the middle of a major makeover. Sam Allardyce who had taken them them from the Championship and stabilized them as a Premier League club has been shown door and former Besiktas coach Slaven Bilic has been appointed as the new manager of the club.

Bilic’s transfer activity has been brilliant so far, he has added to the quality and depth of the squad by making as many as 10 new additions which includes the likes of Dimitri Payet, Angelo Ogbonna and Pedro Obiang.

Bilic wouldn’t have hoped for a better start to the Premier League campaign as they went away to Arsenal and came back with all 3 points in an impressive energetic display. The win has set the balls in motion in what might just be a highly successful campaign with a Top 10 finish a real possibility.

Like Stoke we expect the Hammers to be entertaining and cause trouble to the big guns, and come May will find themselves comfortably sitting in mid-table and maybe even get close to acquiring one of the European slots.

Odds of West Ham winning the league: 2000/1

Odds of West Ham finishing among the top 4: 100/1

Odds of West Ham getting relegated: 14/1

9. Southampton Drop in Table Prediction

Graziano-Pelle Southampton betting tips

Graziano Pelle had a great start to his Southampton career last season but somewhat fell away during the second half of the season. The French must find his form once again if the Saints are to improve upon their achievements last season (saintsfc.co.uk)

Of all the teams listed in the top 10 I would say Southampton are the most in danger to drop down into the lower half of the table.

As another summer transfer window comes to a close Southampton has once again seen some of their top talents being raided by the Premier League big guns and has left Ronald Koeman with another rebuilding task at hand.

No one would dare underestimate Southampton like they did last season when they were one of the preseason favorites to go down but by the end of the season they were laughing at the face of the so called “pundits” securing a 7th place finish and a return to Europe.

To compensate for the loss of key players like Morgan Schneiderlin, Nathaniel Clyne and Toby Alderweireld Southampton have brought in 7 new additions to their squad. The signings of Jordy Clasie, Cedric Soares and Junami look to be promising additions but it has to be seen if they’ll have the same impact with club as the players they are replacing.

Southampton kicked of the campaign with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle, it is a bit worrying to see a team that had conceded just 33 goals last campaign having already shipped in 2. However Southampton came into the game with just three days of rest having faced Dutch side Vitesse in the UEFA Europa league 3rd qualifying round (Won 5-0 on aggregate) and that must have played a role in the result.

We expect Southampton to remain as competitive in the league as they did last campaign but the Europa league commitments might just hammer their progress this term.

Odds of Southampton winning the league: 300/1

Odds of Southampton finishing among the top 4: 18/1

Odds of Southampton getting relegated: 40/1

8. Tottenham Hotspur – Back to the drawing board

Harry-Kane betting tips

All eyes will be on Harry Kane who scored an impressive 31 goals in all competitions last season (21 in the league). Can he prove to the doubters that is he’s not just another one season wonder? (footballvita.com)

The 2014/15 season finished with Tottenham acquiring their 6th consecutive finish in the top 6. Heading into the new season it is fair to ask, “will Tottenham ever be anything more than a top 6 club?” The 2014/15 season saw the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager, but have the Spurs really progressed under him?

These are a couple of the questions that’ll be answered by the end of the campaign. Last season Pochettino had to make due with the team his predecessors left behind but now he has the free reigns to go ahead and work his magic with the team.

He has already trimmed his squad by quite a bit by letting go of some of the non-performers in the squad. In the transfer market though they have pretty quiet thus far making just 3 new additions although it’s fair to assume that a couple more names will join the squad by the end of August.

The additions of Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier and Kevin Wimmer should tighten up their highly fragile defense but the problem for them remains the lack of strike power upfront. Apart from Harry Kane you can’t see anyone else scoring 20 goals a season.

As mentioned before the Premier League is going to be a extremely tight affair this season and without signing a bit more quality upfront we can see Tottenham being left behind in the deep end of the top half of the table.

Odds of Tottenham winning the league: 200/1

Odds of Tottenham finishing among the top 4: 17/2

Odds of Tottenham getting relegated: 250/1

7. Everton – Back to Europe?

Romelu-Lukaku premier league predictions

First season as an official Everton player didn’t go according to plan for Romelu Lukaku, though he ended the season with 20 goals in all competitions only 10 of those came in the league. Must is expected of Lukaku thi s season let’s see if the Belgium can live upto those expectations

In Roberto Martinez’s first season with Everton (2013/14) they played some really exciting football and were one of the most entertaining teams to watch on their way to a top 5 finish. In his second season though the club struggled to find a footing in the league and were dangerously close to the relegation spots for large parts of the season.

Everton come into this season with no distraction of Europe and hence it’s safe to assume they’ll be back fighting it amongst the big boys. A top half finish is a must for the Toffees who have too much quality to be sitting outside the top 6.

Everton had let in 50 goals in the last campaign and need to improve upon his stat if they are achieve a top 6 finish. The defensive pairing of John Stones (if Chelsea don’t get him before the window closes) and Phil Jagielka looks promising and in Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines they have two of they best full-backs in the league.

Romelu Lukaku hardly looked like a player worthy of the 28€ million price tag last time around and needs to prove to his critics of his worth. He’ll get plenty of support from the likes of Mirallas, Naismith and Aroune Kone with Kone impressing in their opening day 2-2 draw against Watford.

As far as the transfer window is concerned they haven’t added much to their squad apart from signing Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona and Tom Cleverly on a free transfer. We expect the Toffees to do well this season but can’t seem them troubling the likes of United and Liverpool.

Odds of Everton winning the league: 1000/1

Odds of Everton finishing among the top 4: 40/1

Odds of Everton getting relegated: 25/1

6. Swansea City – Europa League

Andre-Ayew Swansea City match predictions

The Ghanaian international Andre Ayew took just 30 minutes to make an impact at this new club by scoring against the current Premier League champions int he opening day of the season, more of the same is expected from Ayew for the rest campaign (goal.com)

Relegation? Yeah right! In his first full season with Swansea last campaign Garry Monk led the club to an 8th place with 56 points. So was last season a one time effort or will Swansea exceed expectations once again?

If their opening day performance against Chelsea is anything to be judged by when they held the current champions to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, then you can expect Swansea to improve upon from what they did last time around.

Swansea has been extremely impressive in the transfer window so far making 8 new additions to their squad with Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew and Portuguese forward Eder being the standout signings. It is safe to say that the void left by the departure of Wilfred Bony in January has been negated.

Lukasz Fabianski at goal and the defensive pairing of Federico Fernandez and Ashley Williams were impressive for the Swans through out last season however it has to be asked, do they have suitable back-ups? Sweden international Kristoffer Nordfeldt has been brought in as back-up for Fabianski but the lack of depth at the center-back positions is a bit worrying.

Come May Swansea should be comfortably sitting in mid-table atleast but they do have enough quality in them to push for one of the European spots provided everyone at the back remains fit.

Odds of Swansea winning the league: 3000/1

Odds of Swansea finishing among the top 4: 66/1

Odds of Swansea getting relegated: 14/1

5. Manchester United Outside Top 4

Wayne-Rooney premier league betting tips

With plenty of reinforcements having been brought in to strengthen their midfield Wayne Rooney can once again return to his preferred position as a center forward. LVG claims Rooney can score 30 a season but the United captain hasn’t crossed 20 goals a season for the last three campaigns (thesun.co.uk)

The 2015/16 campaign will be United’s second season under the management of Louis Van Gaal. The Dutch manager promised them a top 4 finish last season and he fulfilled on his word.

The promise may have been fulfilled but it has to be said Manchester United were hardly convincing for most parts of last season. More than performances of the team Van Gaal came under heavy criticism for the lack-luster performances of his transfer buys. Di Maria, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo were some of  Van Gaal’s big money signings that failed to live up to the expectations.

A new season offers a second chance for LVG to redeem himself and he has already added five new recruits to the squad. The trio of Depay, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger will surely bolster their midfield while Matteo Darmian will compete with Rojo for the right-back position.

United have also heavily trimmed their squad which meant saying goodbyes to the likes of Van Persie, Tom Cleverly, Rafael and lastly Di Maria who joins the French Champions PSG for a fee reportedly worth 63€ million.

Another player who could soon be saying goodbye to club is David De Gea. The Spanish keeper who was by a mile United’s best player last season sat out the opening day win against Tottenham, amid interest from Real Madrid for De Gea. United have brought in Sergio Romero as back-up but it has to been seen if the Argentine keeper can deliver the same level of performances as De Gea.

As already mentioned United started the season on a positive note winning the opening day fixture against Tottenham 1-0 thanks to a own goal from Kyle Walker.

Come May United will be in the thick of things as far as the top 4 fight is concerned however the lack of depth at the back, Europe and the imminent departure of De Gea could see United slipping outside the top 4.

Odds of United winning the league: 11/2

Odds of United finishing among the top 4: 3/10

Odds of United getting relegated: 5000/1

4. Arsenal Top 4 Finish Prediction

Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain betting tips for the season

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – The young England international is Footballbetting.org’s pick as the breakthrough star of the year provided he remains injury free throughout the season (express.co.uk)

A new season but the same the old question – Will Arsenal win the Premier League title? It they are to be judged by their opening day performance when they went onto lose 2-0 against the Hammers at the Emirates then the answer is a resounding NO!

It isn’t fair to a judge a team on the basis of a single game however their performance last week has certainly given Arsene Wenger a lot to think about heading into their next game against Crystal Palace on Sunday. Peter Cech was billed as the missing ingredient that could turn Arsenal into champions, however his Premier League debut for the club was a major disappointment.

Arsenal haven’t added much to their squad this summer apart from signing Peter Cech from Chelsea. Unlike their fellow title contenders the Gunners already have the depth and quality to compete equally in league and the Champions League.

It’s just about getting their tactics right and performing against the top 5 clubs. Arsenal have already picked up silverware this season by winning the FA Community Shield beating Chelsea 1-0.

Will they add the Premier League title to it? Not Unlikely but difficult! Arsenal will for sure finish inside the top 4 but talks of a Premier League title might have to be put on hold for another season.

Odds of Arsenal winning the league: 5/1

Odds of Arsenal finishing among the top 4: 1/4

Odds of Arsenal getting relegated: 2500/1

3. Liverpool Top 4 Finish Prediction

Philippe-Coutinho betting tips

It’s amazing how much the little Brazilian magician has improved over the last couple of season. He won Liverpool the 3 points against Stoke with Gerrard-sque screamer and something tell us we are about to see a lot more of those in the coming days (dailystar.co.uk)

Suarez? Gone! Gerrard? Gone! Sterling? Gone! Okay the latter doesn’t measure upto the former two but it’s safe to say Liverpool are a club that has been been heavily crippled by highly profile departures over the last couple of seasons.

The departure of Suarez left Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers with a plethora of money to spend and that’s exactly what the club did, they went onto spend in excess of 100£ million adding as many as 7 new players to their squad.

However come the end of the season Liverpool found themselves 6th in the table with none of the 7 new signings apart from Emre Can making an impression on either the manager or the Liverpool faithful.

Excluding the departure of long time servant Steven Gerrard, Liverpool have bid also farewell to Raheem Sterling who finally got his wish granted and has moved to Manchester City this summer. The Sterling sale once again left Liverpool with plenty of money to spend, so have they spend it wisely?

Based on first impressions – Yes! The additions of Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Clyne seems to have answered their full-back problems. Benteke and Danny Ings are a major upgrade on Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli.

Roberto Firmino will pair up nicely with his Brazilian mate Philip Coutinho and lastly my pick for the best transfer signing of the season – James Milner who’ll finally get to prove his worth in a team where he’ll get plenty of more minutes on the pitch.

Defense has been a major problem for Liverpool in the last couple of seasons but they seem to have negated it somewhat this season. Skrtel, Lovern, Sakho and Toure provides plenty of options and the pairing of Skrtel and Lovern were impressive in their opening day 1-0 win over Stoke.

Can Liverpool exceed expectations and win the league? Possible but unlikely! Is a top 4 finish possible? Definitely! They have the quality and having watched their pre-season games and the opener against Stoke I have to say they are playing with the aim to prove everyone who’ve written them off wrong.

Odds of Liverpool winning the league: 22/1

Odds of Liverpool finishing among the top 4: 9/5

Odds of Liverpool getting relegated: 1500/1

2. Chelsea – Falling short at the last hurdle!

Eden-Hazard betting tips

Eden Hazard – The 2014/15 Premier League player of the season! Comparisons have been made with Messi and Ronaldo but for me i don’t see him as player any better than Shaqiri to be honest. Of he is talented and has potential to be one among the best but is he anywhere near the likes of Suarez, Messi, Robben and Co.? No! (express.co.uk)

It’s been a difficult start to the season for Mourihno and his men. They had a far from ideal pre-season campaign where they failed to win even a single game in normal time and then went onto lost the Community Shield final against Arsenal 1-0.

The opening day of the season went onto provide further shocks as they got held by Swansea to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. A draw ain’t that bad a result but the fact that they got outplayed by the Swans and let in 2 goals at home seems to indicate something is wrong in the team.

They have added 4 new recruits to their squad this summer, Asmir Begovic who was fantastic for Stoke may have committed career suicide by joining the Blues to be an understudy to Thibaut Courtouis but it’s happy news for Chelsea, who have a keeper reliable enough to step in for Courtouis if he is to pick up an injury or a suspension like he did against Swansea last Saturday.

Mourinho has also brought in Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao on loan for the season. The highly talented Colombian international gives Mourinho a quality replacement to call upon when Diego Costa is unavailable (which he is for most part of the season). So where really does their problem lie?

There really isn’t a position you could point out and say is a weakness but it has to be the mentality that has to change. They look they like a tired bunch of players so switching around the team and giving some of those on the bench a chance could work for the Blues.

Chelsea face fellow title contenders Manchester City on Sunday and it’s a chance for them to prove their critics wrong and show that they can successfully defend their titles.

Odds of Chelsea winning the league: 9/4

Odds of Chelsea finishing among the top 4: 1/10

Odds of Chelsea getting relegated: 7500/1

1. Manchester City – Champions???

Sergio-Aguero betitng tips 2015 2016

Who else but Sergio Aguero! The Argentine Striker has been Citizen’s most consistent player in the last four seasons. 2014/15 season saw him winning the Golden Boot for the second time, will he win it for a third time? (express.co.uk)

Voila!!! It’s the blue side of Manchester that are gonna be celebrating with the Premier League title come the end of the season. The 2014/15 campaign was billed as major disappointment for the club but they still managed to secure a second place finish scoring the most number of goals in the league.

In Europe even though they once again made an exit in the round of 16’s of the Champions League it was against the best team in the world – Barcelona. Manchester City have a lot to prove this season and anyone who watched their 3-0 thumping of the Baggies on Monday will know that they are a team on a mission.

With the exits of Frank Lampard, James Milner, Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair this summer the focus as far as their transfer activity is concerned has been on adding homegrown players. They broke the bank for Raheem Sterling and have also added Fabian Delph and Patrick Robert to their squad.

Talks of a possible transfer of Kevin De Bryune is doing the rounds and if that is to come to fruition it will further strength their attacking ranks. One of the major let downs for City last season was the form of their captain Vincent Kompany the Belgium international however has given early signs that he is back to his best.

Defense is where the team needs a bit of tweaking, Mangala still hasn’t proven his worth as a 32£ million player and Martin Demichellis is not someone you would call “reliable”. If they can add a bit more quality in defense then I see no reason why they can’t go on and win their 3rd Premier League title.

Odds of City winning the league: 15/8

Odds of City finishing among the top 4: 1/12

Odds of City getting relegated: 7500/1
