Palace-vs-QPR-betting-tip Crystal Palace vs QPR – Prediction

(1-1) Draw, This is a game that the Rangers simply need to win to keep their Premier League Survival hopes alive. They have played well in their last couple of games against Spurs and Arsenal and a similar performance here might just get them a second result away from home this season.

It’s been a while since Palace won at Selhurst Park so Pardew will desperate get back to winning ways at home. We see the Rangers getting something from this game with Charlie Austin and Glen Murray scoring for their respective clubs.

 Crystal Palace

Glen-Murray

Murray is available again for Palace after serving out his suspension. He has three goals in his last two games (BBC)

Crystal Palace comes into this match after narrowly losing out to Southampton away last week. The Eagles start this week 12th in the table and 8 points above the relegation spots.

Despite their good run of games they still haven’t managed to win a game at Selhurst Park since their 2-1 win over Spurs on the 10th of January.

Palace’s home form has been pretty dire all season managing to pick up just 12 points. In fact they are the only team in the Premier league that has better away record (18 points) than their home record.

Palace will be boosted by the return of Glen Murray from suspension but will miss the services of their captain Mile Jedinak after he was suspended by the FA for violent conduct. Another absentee for Palace will be midfielder Jordan Mutch who is out with an injury.

Palace can take relief in the fact that Marouane Chamakh and Yaya Sanogo are fit and back in training and could play a part in this week match.

QPR

Charlie-Austin

Charlie Austin has been fantastic for the QPR’s this season scoring 15 goals in total in the league (telegraph)

After their 2-0 away win against Sunderland a month back QPR have gone back to their usual ways and now find themselves dangerously close to facing the axe from the Premier League.

QPR’s performances have certainly improved but at this stage of the season performances don’t mean much as it’s all about the points. Only a brave man will be putting their money on QPR who have lost 12 of the 13 away games this season.

But need away wins from this point onwards  if they are to do their own version of the  “great escape”. Chris Ramsey certainly has his work cut-out to sail the slowly sinking ship to safety.

A win this week could help QPR move away from the bottom three provided other results go their way. QPR can take belief in the fact that they have never lost a game away to Crystal Palace.

QPR has conceded the most number of goals in the Premier League this season. QPR will still miss midfielder Joey Barton as he serves the third game of this three match suspension.

 Past Meeting

The Last time these two teams met this season the game ended as a goalless draw.

Where they are in the table

12th – Crystal Palace – 28 games – 30 points – (-8 GD)

18th – QPR – 28 games – 22 points – (-20 GD)
