Leicester-City-vs-Swansea-CityLeicester vs Swansea – Prediction

Leicester City to win 2-1, Leicester have managed to find that hunger and desire they had early on the season. They are fighting for survival and the players are rallying behind Nigel Pearson to do the impossible. They might still be the favorites to go down in the eyes of the Sports books but with the relatively easy run of games they have till the end of the season and have every chance of surviving now. Swans despite their incredible season have not been at their best away from home in fact all their away wins have been 1-0 victories expect for the opening day win against United. Both teams should score but Leicester might just come out as the winners.

Betting Tips

  •  Leicester start as the favorites with odds of 2.20 which is quite low for a team that is bottom of the table. The odds for a Swansea win is at 3.90 and for a draw is at 3.60.
  • Both teams to score is good bet here despite the slightly low odds of 1.77
  • Our best bet for this game is over 2.5 at the odds of 1.95

Leicester City

Leonardo-Ulloa

Leicester have had 13 different scorers in the Premier League this season with
Argentine Leonardo Ulloa leading the way with 9 goals (bbc.co.uk)

What a fantastic couple of weeks it has been for the foxes. They looked destined to get relegated as we went into the final international break of the season but two wins in two since then has seen them close the gap between them 17th placed Hull City to just three points with games 7 remaining in the season.

They face Sunderland and QPR in the last two games of the season and it maybe well come down to both those games. Goal scoring has been a major problem for them this season but in their last three games including the defeat against Tottenham they’ve managed to score a total of eight goals.

Leicester’s home form has been pretty mediocre all season and they need to improve in this regard if they are to pull of one of the most remarkable great escapes in recent memory.

Leicester have won all their last seven meetings against Swansea. The last time the two teams met at the King Power Stadium was in the 2010/11 Championship season and Leicester won the game 2-1. Pearson has no injury or suspension troubles heading into the game.

Swansea City

Gary-Monk

Garry Monk and his Swansea team will be looking to finish their incredible season so far strongly (dailystar.co.uk)

Swansea comes into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Everton last week. The draw has pulled them level with their highest ever points tally of 47 in the Premier League which they set in the 2011/12 season.

They also look set to better their best ever league finish of 9th set in the 2012/13 season. The season is a golden feather in Garry Monk’s crown as he has excelled when everyone expected him to be a fail.

Swansea are undefeated in their last three Premier League games heading into this game (2 wins and 1 Draw). They haven’t gone four games without a defeat this season.

Swansea have failed to get a win away to Leicester for over half a century with the last win coming in 1950 (3-2 win).

Swansea have managed to keep a clean sheet in only 3 of their last 14 games but all those clean sheets came away from home

Striker Bafetimbi Gomis is ruled out for a month after picking up a hamstring injury last week. This will probably mean the second start for Nelson Oliviera who has just recovered from an ankle injury.

Past Meeting

The last time these two teams met this season Swansea won the game 2-0 thanks to a brace from now Manchester City striker Wilfred Bony.
