Hull City vs Newcastle United

hull vs new

This season has been nothing but a struggle for Hull City so far, last year’s FA Cup runners-are currently 18th in the Premier Standings with just 19 points from 22 games.

Both Hull City and Newcastle should be fresh for their clash on Sunday as both of them weren’t involved in any Cup action last week.

Newcastle doesn’t look in the same shape that beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City a few months back. Ever since the departure of Alan Pardew to Crystal Palace the team isn’t looking like the threat they were earlier on in the season. Under caretaker Manager John Carver Newcastle has managed only 1 point from their last 3 games.

Luckily for Newcastle they are comfortably away from the relegation battle but they are also nowhere near the top of the table. Newcastle looks destined for another midtable finish unless they can put on a good run results and they can start with the match against Hull on Saturday.

Newcastle should be boosted by the arrival of Papiss Cisse from the AFCON tournament after his Senegalese team crashed out of the tournament.

For Hull the good news is that Mohammed Diamme who had been out for two months with an injury has returned to training but Saturday’s clash vs Newcastle may be too soon for a return. Steve Bruce though will be happy because Tiger’s strikers Abel Hernandez and Nikica Jelavic are fit and available for selection on Saturday.

Prediction: – Hull City Win
