Crystal Palace vs Everton

Baines

Leighton Baines

Who would have thought this at the start of the season? Everton who were one of the most entering teams in the Premier League last season, are currently 12th in table and are closer to the relegation battle than the top four.

On recent form Everton are the worst team in the Premier League picking up just two points from their last six games. Everton however will be boosted by the return of James McCarthy who looks likely to play Saturday. This is essentially a must win game for Everton because their next two games in the league are against Liverpool and Chelsea so if they don’t get a result here then by mid-February they might be in the bottom three.

Crystal Palace has the same number of points as Everton and currently occupies the 13th spot in the Premier League table. Palace however has one thing that Everton don’t have right now –Confidence!

Pardew

Alan Pardew Screaming – Rarrr!!!

Since Alan Pardew has taken over as manager at Palace they have won four out of four (twice in the league and twice in the FA Cup). Their two league victories were come from behind victories with one of them coming against the Spurs. Selhurst Park is buzzing with excitement right now and the fans and management believe they’ll be safe under Pardew.

Pardew could give a debut to Jordan Mutch who has been signed from QPR this week but he will certainly be missing both Mile Jedinak and Yannick Bolasie who are still in International duty.

Prediction Everton vs Crystal Palace: – Everton win (Palace has been leaking goals and Everton are desperate and have quality)
