Cristiano-Ronaldo

The Portuguese is on a rare goalless run will come back to form here?

It seems like every month this specific rumor gains strength and rules the rumor mills for a few days and then dies out soon only to come stronger again the next month.

Unlike previous rumors this one may actually be true.

It’s reported that the Real Madrid club President Florentino Perez wants off-load the Portuguese superstar before age catches up with him.

Currently 30, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Madrid from Manchester United back in 2009. Since joining the Galaticos Ronaldo has scored an incredible 205 goals from 185 appearances averaging 1.1 goals per game.

So who will buy him if he is to leave Madrid?

Who else but his former club Manchester United, it is rumored that United are ready to spend big money for the three time Ballon d’Or winner.

United won’t settle for just Ronaldo alone they are also reportedly gunning for the former Spurs and Real Madrid play maker Gareth Bale. The Bale rumor similar to Ronaldo one has been floating around for some time now.

United who has just signed a new 5 billion Euros TV deal will not be bothered when it comes to spending big money if these transfers are to become a reality. United seems like they want to buy their way out of trouble.

Ronaldo is currently valued at somewhere between 140 to 160 million pounds while Gareth Bale is valued at 90 million pounds. If these transfers are to happen then it will make Ronaldo the most expensive transfer in the world and Bale the second most expensive transfer (He currently is the most expensive player in the world after his 91 million pounds move from Spurs to Madrid in 2013).

Is it just me or is United linked to almost every single footballer on the planet?

Ever since Louis Van Gaal took over as manager they are rumored with almost every single footballer from around the globe. At this rate I won’t be surprised if I see a rumor linking Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to United.

Rumor Verdict: – Not going to happen!!! Okay the Gareth Bale one may happen but the Ronaldo one – definitely not! Why would one of the best teams in the world want to sell arguably the best player in the world?

Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo started his senior career with the Portuguese side Sporting CP scoring 3 goals in 25 appearances for them. Ronaldo made the switch to United before the start of the 2003/04 season for 12.24 million pounds.

The rest as they is history he has been a ever-reliable servant for Real averaging more than a goal per game and winning the La Decima with them in the 2013/14 season.
