The marquee game of the week sees League leaders Chelsea taking on defending Premier League champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea come into this match on the back of a hard fought League Cup semi-final victory against Liverpool while Manchester City comes into this match after getting knocked out of the FA Cup by lower league side Middlesbrough.
City are currently five points behind Chelsea and need a win here to keep the title race alive. If Chelsea is to win this game then they will move 8 points clear of City and virtually bring the title race to an end.
Chelsea have so far won all 10 home games in the league this season, but City can take heart in the fact that Chelsea were beaten by lower league side Bradford City 4-2 last week in the FA Cup.
Chelsea has been stuttering a bit lately and if ever there was a moment for City to get a win at Stamford Bridge it is now. The fact that Chelsea had to play Mid-week will also favour City.
Chelsea also has a few unusual selection headaches ahead of the game. It will be interesting to see who Mourinho opts for as a partner in defence to John Terry – the out of form veteran Gary Cahill or the young French defender Kurt Zouma who has impressive lately.
Chelsea will also be missing Diego Costa who has been found guilty of stamping on Emre Can’s foot during the midweek League Cup clash with Liverpool.

Cesc Fabergas and Filipe Luis are also out for Chelsea after picking up injuries midweek.
Manchester City on the other hand has been finding it hard for the last few weeks picking up just 5 points in the last four games. They sorely missed Yaya Toure who is currently on International duty with Ivory Coast playing in the African Cup of Nations.
All eyes will be on Sergio Aguero, he simply has to find a way to break down the tough Chelsea defence if they are to win the game.

The last time these two Premier League giants met this season the game ended up as 1-1 draw with Frank Lampard scoring the equaliser for Manchester City. Lampard would want to add atleast one more goal against his former club before he bids adieu to Premier league in the summer.
