There are four excellent teams left in the Champions League this season, with two in particular looking like strong favorites to play each other in the final. Real Madrid and Juventus are the teams to watch out for, though there’s no ruling out Atletico or Monaco as we approach the semi-finals. All-in-all it has been Juventus that have taken the limelight throughout the competition with some awe-inspiring matches, particularly against Barcelona in the quarter finals, but Real Madrid are also solid.

Verdict: Juventus to win

Betting Tips (BetStars)

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid (first leg)

Outcome – Real Madrid Win – 17/20

Real Madrid are looking all set to win the first round of the semi-finals at home against Atletico. They have played a solid game all season, both in La Liga and in the Champions League. They are the defending champions with a top-class squad comprising of come of the best players in the world. No club has ever won the Champions League back to back, but Real Madrid could well be the first, and if any team is to stop them it won’t be Atletico. It’s a pretty safe bet, and overall they are 4/7 to qualify for the finals. If you want an interesting little side bet, check out the odds on correct scores. Real Madrid 2-0 at home is running at 17/2, which could offer a nifty return.

Monaco vs Juventus (first leg)

Outcome – Draw – 13/10

Monaco are the underdogs of the tournament, but they have definitely shown spirit, and have deservedly made their way to the semi-finals looking ready to fight. The last time they made the finals was in 2003/04, and this time they look as strong as ever. But the competition looks stronger. Juventus have offered the best displays of football in the whole of the Champions League, and are arguably the best team in the cup. They have played a perfect defensive game, with moments of genius in attack too. The first leg is at Stade Louis, and Monaco will be looking to capitalize on the home advantage, but they will have a hard time breaking through. Although a draw is the most unlikely outcome suggested by the odds, it seems to be worth a bet at 12/5. Other than that, Juventus 0-1 is looking good at 17/2. Overall, Juventus are highly likely to make the final in one way or another.

Champions League Outright Winner

Juventus – 13/8

It doesn’t offer a particularly high return, but an outright bet on Juventus would be my current recommendation. Real Madrid are also running on the same odds at 13/8, showing just how closely matched the two sides are in the competition. If you do want a decent outside bet I would choose Atletico at 7/2. If they can overcome Real Madrid they have something of a chance. Overall though my money would be on Juventus.
