After thrashing the league leaders Real Madrid last week Atleti head into this match brimming with confidence. Four goals from Antoine Griezmann, Mario Mandzukic, Tiago and Saul helped Atleti register a 4-0 win over their in-town rivals last week.
The win against League leaders meant that Atletico are now just 7 points behind the leaders and with a game in hand.
Atleti has won four matches back to back scoring 12 goals in the process. Atletico will be missing their midfield superstar Koke who suffered a hamstring injury in the clash versus Real Madrid last week. They might also be missing both Saul and Diego Godin for the clash on Sunday.
Turan and Rahul Garcia will also be missing from the Atleti line-up against Celta Vigo after picking up five yellow cards each for the season.
Another favorable stat for Atletico is that they have won on their last four visits to the Balaidos. Atletico however were held to a 2-2 draw last time these two teams meet this season.

Celta Vigo
Celta are slowly but surely finding their groove back. After an excellent start to the season where they picked up 20 points from the first 11 games Celta went on a 10 game winless streak scoring none in 7 of those matches. They have however managed to record a victory against Cordoba in their last home match and last week managed a well earned point versus Real Sociedad.
Celta played some of the best football they played this season the last time they met Atleti this season.in the reverse fixture. Celta will be hoping to find inspiration here from their previous match.
Celta can’t afford to fall back to their miserable run of form. The only reason they remain in the top half of the table is due to their early season form. Despite being 10th in the table they are only 6 points above the relegations spots. Celta may not be dreaming of a victory here but if they can earn draw against the defending champions it will help boost their confidence.
Celta will be without their manager Eduard Berizzo who will be serving a two match sideline ban. Nemanja Radoja will come into the Celta midfield after missing their last clash versus Real Sociedad.
Celta will however be missing Hugo Mallo and Berizzo will opt to play Sergio Gomez again as a right-back in the game.
