Burnley-vs-TottenhamBurnley vs Tottenham – Prediction

3-1 Tottenham win, Two teams that desperately need the three points for two different reasons. For Burnley it’s all about survival and for Spurs it is about achieving a top 4 finish. Burnley have been playing well and their last home game was a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Tottenham have looked far from their best and have been squeezing out results over the last few weeks. Burnley won’t mind a draw here but anything other a win will be the end of Spurs’s top 4 hopes.

Betting Tips and Odds

  • The odds for a Spurs win are at around 2 go that’s a bet you might want to consider placing your money on.
  • We can see both team scoring especially considering the absence of Hugo Loris on goal for Spurs. So go for both teams to score at the odds of around 1.75
  • We suggest you consider placing a bet on Harry Kane to score which is at 2.53

Burnley

Danny-Ings

The Clarets came into this game on the back of a 2-0 defeat at the hands of  Southampton two weeks. They’ve played well this season but still find themselves right in the middle of the relegation battle.

Burnley are currently 18th in the table with 25 points with 8 games to go. 34 might be enough to secure safety this season, so can they get 9 more points this season?

They still have games against fellow relegation contenders Leicester, Hull and Villa left in the season and those will be the games that define who all will stay in the Premier League at the end of the season.

The last time Burnley played at Turf Moor they recorded a 1-0 win over defending Premier League champions Manchester City and hence will be coming into this game full of confidence.

The last time these two teams met at Turf Moor in the Premier League Burnley came from 2 goals down to win the game the 4-2 on the final day of the 2009/10 season.

Burnley will be boosted by the return of defender Stephen Ward who was sidelined for a number of months with an ankle injury. The duo of Dean Marney and Kevin Long still remain out for Burnley while Midfielder has resumed training after undergoing an Achilles surgery.

Tottenham Hotspur

Harry-Kane

The young England International has scored 29 goals for Spurs in all competitions this season. Any doubt who the Barclay’s young player of the year is? (Dailymail.co.uk)

Spurs come into this game on the back of a hard fought 4-3 win against Leicester two weeks back. They’re top 4 hopes haven’t faded but can’t afford anymore slip-ups till the end of the season.

Spurs are 6 points behind 4th placed Manchester United but do have a relatively easy run of games till the end of the season excluding the games against City and Southampton in between.

Spurs’ last away game in the league resulted in a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United. They haven’t suffered back-to-back league defeats this season and have slotted in the most number of goals in the Premier League this calender year (26).

Spurs are having trouble at the back having not kept a clean sheet in their last 10 games in all competitions. Harry Kane will be raring to go for Spurs having netted his first England goal during the International break.

Tottenham will miss the services of keeper Hugo Loris who still hasn’t recovered from the knee injury he picked up against Leicester. The other absentees for Tottenham will be Danny Rose and Roberto Soldado both of whom are out with hamstring and knee injuries respectively.
